Alberto Gómez Isassi is a social entrepreneur and academic that has demonstrated a commitment to creating a positive impact in his community by working on projects and building products that have the potential to bring forth social and economic benefits to people and governments. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Creative Industries from the University of Santiago de Compostela. He is co-founder and COO of Cityflag, a civic tech company that aims to improve civic engagement and make city governance more efficient and transparent. He is a professor at the University Autonomous of Tamaulipas and Director of the research group: Media, Society, Culture, and Technology. He is currently a Guest Scholar at the Urban Future Lab at UTSA.
